Times Square is like the center of New York City. Times Square is always bright with huge plasma screens with advertisements along with billboards. It is a huge place that is always filled with people all the time.

He has been running for several minutes now and it wasn't getting any easier. Sweat had been gathering all over his forehead as he sprints through the streets of New York City, which, for some reason - he seems to know very well. His chances of escape weren't getting any better, the hospital guard called for back-up in the form of several other guards and soon enough the police as well.
The tall buildings of New York city blocked most of the sunlight, but some of it still reached into the modern streets, illuminating the people and the cars of the ever so lively city. People were obviously jumping out of his path, horrid looks on their faces. 'Sure, run away from the guy running around in a hospital gown being chased by guards! If I was wearing a red-spandex you would all be cheering!', he can't help but smile at the strange thought.
Finally, he realizes where he's been heading - Times Square. He uses every ounce of strength in his body to keep on running, maybe here he'd be able to lose them amongt the many people that fill the crowded square in this time of the day; 'It can't be that easy to find a guy in a hospital gown in Times Square at noon!'. He's funny, he likes that about himself - even if it is something he only realized a second ago.
'My God this salad is good!', the beautiful blond haired woman can't help herself, as she nearly devours the plate of salad in front of her. Carol Denvers is known to the world as Ms. Marvel, but when she isn't busy saving the world - having a healthy yet delicious lunch in the city is one of her favorite activities. Of course, the beautiful ex-Avenger doesn't really get that much free time and it seems that today isn't going to be any different.
"What the hell-"
A young man wearing a hospital gown is running into the street, followed by what seems to be guards from the nearby Mount Sinai hospital; 'Oh well, this is New York City...'. Carol gets up from her seat and takes off her trench-coat, revealing her black costume with the golden lightning on her chest.
"Hold it right there!"
She calls out as she runs into his path, but only then does she see the great pain and terror in his brown eyes; the Avenger can't help but think that something is wrong.
"Please help me! I can't go back!"
He calls out as he keeps running, avoiding a few cars. Maybe she will help him, she's Ms. Marvel - she must help him! But how does he know who she is?
"What's you're name? Why are you running? What is this all about?!"
Her eyes travel from the boy to the guards behind him, attempting to find a logical explanation to the strange situation. The young man is right beside her when he finally stops, attempting to catch his breath. He is very lean and rather good looking, doesn't seem sick or ill at all; but the look on his eyes is that of great fear and confusion.
"I don't know! I don't know anything! I don't know who I am, or why I'm here, or what's happening, all I know is that I woke up at the hospital covered with a blanket and my medical sheet says I died a few minutes ago!"
"We'll handle it Ms. Denvers, no need to worry!"
One of the guards says as he runs closer, ready to take the young man with him. The look on his eyes is of great fear, he knows he cannot return there; and as if by instinct he lifts his hand up to stop the guard. His eyes flash with pink energy, which also surrounds his open palm, crackling with force; the guard is covered with the same energy as he's flung a few feet backwards.
The look of astonishment on his face matches the one on the young man's face, but is very much unlike the one on Ms. Marvel's face; she simply sighs.
"Another day in my life..."

"...Did I do that?"
He asks quietly, feeling even worse then before. This is bad, very bad, and they both know it. Ms. Marvel looks at him, realizing that he really has no idea of what's happening and she knows that she must help him out; 'Damn that was a good salad...'.
"Please back off, I'll be taking care of things from now on."
The blond vixen announces, the guards agreeing as they rapidly back off. She turns to the young man; his eyes telling her all she needs to know - he isn't lying.
"How did you do that?"
"I... I don't know... I really don't know."
"Whats your name?"
"I have no idea-"
"You said you saw a medical sheet, right? You have to know something!"
"Oh well, in that case, call me John Doe. And I've been officially dead for the past ten minutes, but as you can see someone clearly made a mistake."
Carol smiles and so does the young man. 'He has a nice smile, it's much better then that horrible look of fear that was on his face a minute ago'.
"Okey John Doe,"
'Is she serious? Oh well, I guess it isn't the worst of names...'
"So you have no idea who you are, what you are, why you're supposedly dead or how you just flung that guard backwards - am I correct."
John Doe nods, feeling slightly awkward after realizing how unreal everything that's happening to him is. 'He obviously needs to learn how to control that power of his... Maybe he's a mutant? Yes, that's exactly where he should go! Xavier's!'.
"Why are you smiling like that?"
She didn't notice the smug smile that crept into her face, but she didn't' take it off either. All she did was take John Doe's hand into hers.
"Look, I'm going to take you to a place, a school, where they'll teach you how to control that power of yours. I'm sure that there are people there who will also help you remember your past... Okey?"
Before he can even nod in agreement she whisks him into the cool noon air. He feels safe in her arms, but one thing simply cannot escape his mind,
"You do know I have nothing on underneath that gown, right?"
"Then I guess you're giving the guys down there one heck of a show!"
