A pretty low-tech flat situated on the top floor of a block of Brooklyn, overlooking a pretty impressive stretch of NY coastline.
The flat has three rooms - a main room with armchair and television and Eddie bed, plus a basic kitchen with foodstuffs and a fridge.
The second room is a small bathroom with toilet, bath and curtain, plus a sink piled with male-oriented cleaning stuff.
The final room is a spare room with a bed and deskside table, normally used for housing Eddie's brother Tony when he comes for a visit. However Eddie has converted it into a place for anything related to his late change, including scientific equipment nicked from Stark Labs before he was sacked. Under his main bed Eddie keeps his most valuable item - a locked box containing a sealed jar of the Metal Nanobot tech, which Eddie one day intends to study to see if he might learn its properties, or get some science big-wig to do it.

"Hmmm... Now what to do first?"
Eddie was sitting on his comfty and worn armchair, a can of cold bear in his hands. He pondered over the very basic question of how to make himself feared and respected -something that as a grimey little kid he'd always wanted.
"Before I can find that damn Kingpin I need to let him and everyone else in New York City know I'm the new boogeyman in town. Yeah, thats right..."
All at once his body gain its metal form, and Eddie clenched and flexed his fists as to test their strength. Tiny sparks admitted from the fingers.
"Lets see whats on the tube. Maybe I get some ideas from that."
Flicking on the box Eddie knew whatever happened, he first need to come into possession of some tight funds - so that meant bank. He'd done Banks before, far more than the one he'd got down for some eight years back. He knew of course, he didn't have metal skin and electricity coursing through him the last time.
"This is Channel 5 News, I'm Barbara Thorton. Here is the news update at Mid-Day. Spiderman was invalable to the Polic capture of Herman Schultz, aka the Shocker this morning when he attempted a break-in into The Metropolitan Museum, apparently to steal some priceless 18th Century Paintings for an unknown source. Spiderman was unable for comment but the Police have assured this reporter that the paintings are not damaged. Schultz has been detained and will be shipped to Ryder Island tomorrow evening. James Jonah Jameson of the Daily Bugle stated that Spiderman was probably involved in the robbery, though no evidence has yet emerged. In other news, Stark Labs have announced babysitters may be a thing of the past - the prototype for a public-released Robo-Nanny was unveiled this morning. The Nanny will include measures for getting children under the age of 6 fed, entertained and put to bed. Tony Stark states the Nanny should be on the Mass-Market sometime this decade. In foriegn news, the Mutant Global Terrorist Magneto may have been sighted in London, say several sources. Officials have urged Britains not to panic, and a slight increase in security around Downing Street has been set Up. Finally in Sports the New York Giants beat the Atlanta Falcons 18-3. The Weather will be sunny with a chance of scattered showers across the city this afternoon. The next News Update will be at 1. Goodbye."
Flicking off the TV Eddie was suddenly struck with a plan of action. If he just searched about for some nice places to rob, he'd be sure to see something that would catch his eye, like a Jewelry Store or something clever.
"Well, a bum like me gotta start somewhere."
At that he grabbed a jacket and walked out the appartment, locking the door behind him.
