Full Name: Eddie Mulscio
Codename/Aliases: The Cyber-Man, Cyberman, Cybies
Profession: Villain
Age: 30
Sex: Male
Height: 6’0
Weight: 125 lbs (145 lbs in Metal Form)
Place of Birth: Brooklyn, New York, USA
Nationality: Italian American
Sexual Preference: Heterosexual
Religion: None
Physical Description: A hard-starred Brooklyn guy who looks like hes a friend of the local don, with fairly handsome features all other, including an impressive Six-Pack. Tight fists, usually dressed in rugged clothes which suit his down on his luck style. A small scar is above his left eye from a fight he lost a while back. When he transforms into the Cyber-Man his body develops a metallic feel to it but is much the same save for an increased in strength and such. Since the process seems to be semi-changeable Eddie managed to create an Engraved C on his chest that appears when he transforms. He speaks with your typical Italian American accent, reped up in battle to mimic any self-respecting Super Hero or Villain.
Personality: Eddie is respectful of others, but hes not one to let an insult go unpunished. As a fan of Super-Heroes from his childhood Eddie will always feel a little awed when fighting such greats as Captain America, Namor and the Fantastic Four. There are a few exceptions, though. Prior to his accident Eddie was very much an anti-mutant guy, but since his change he has gone to a mere dislike, starting to see why ‘those freaks’ get plastered all the time. He also bears a grudge against two highly influential groups of New York – the Kingpin of Crime, who he suspects had a say in his mother’s demise (See History), and Stark Labs for firing him and only seeing him as a stupid bum, so anything closely connected to Stark Labs is in danger of taking a beating from the Cyber-Man.
He is almost certainly one of those long line of Villain Types who are in it for the glory – if he robs a bank hes doing not so much for the money (though the pay helps) as to get to fight a Super-Hero and win. In fact he keeps a list in his pocket or nailed to the wall of his apartment of all the super-powered beings he wouldn’t mind defeating. However Eddie is also a team player – he is not against teaming up or taking orders, or even helping heroes, if it gets him what he wants – generally reputation. With his powers still very new Eddie is keen to see what he is capable of – by any means possible. This does mean he can be a little cocky and either over or underestimate himself and his opponents.
History: Eddie is your classic West Side Story, Streetcar and Waterfront Cheese-Ball all rolled into one. Born on the tough streets of Brooklyn taught him to be a fighter and a winner, and he never forgot the teachings of his father, a professional small-time boxer yet wise man as well. His mother was a nurse at a nearby hospital and she taught him how to be careful. However, when he was only 14 a gang of thugs on Yancy Street killed her in a bungled attempt to steal her purse. No trial ever took place, but it was suspected that the thugs were lackeys of the Kingpin.
Following her death Eddie trained up via his dad’s old Boxing Stuff in order to seek vengeance on the ones responsible. This led him in foul with the law and a spell in Jail for six months for involvement in an attempted Heist. During his upbringing Eddie was awed by the Super Heroes who passed by in the streets every day, and spent many a penny on the Comic Books which featured his favourites like the Thing, Human Torch and Namor. With his Dad dead of cancer two years ago Eddie’s only living relatives is his older brother Tony in Brooklyn, who Eddie has great affection for as family, and a hardly-known Uncle from South Italy.
Just one month ago, Eddie was a low-level worker/cleaner at Stark Labs when he became involved in a incident where his cleaning device created accidental sparks of electricity which hit an experimental compound Stark’s scientists were working on to give SHEILD and other sponsored groups Enforced Armour on all vessels. The substance was alive with nano-bots which reacted to the sparks in an explosive fashion and covered Eddie with it. After five painful minutes Eddie recovered and found his body a powerful metal. By just thinking it, he was able to revert back to flesh. Exulted with his new powers Eddie tested his new-found skills on a daily basis, coming to the conclusion that it was his destiny to be the best, not to mention getting a little reputation across New York. Fired from his job for lack of upkeep Eddie intends to let New York know the Cyber-Man has arrived, and that for him, playtime is only just beginning…
Origin of Power: Accident
Power Description: Eddie’s accident gave him the power to turn his body into a metal alloy which contains Nano-Bot technology. Originally the stuff covered his whole body but he has lately turned to remove it from his face, since he feels uncomfortable with the metal on his eyes, nose and mouth. All the same he still uses it to mask his true identity when he feels the need. The electrity also charged the Nano Bots with Electrostatic Power, giving Eddie the power to use power electric oriented attacks.
Power Levels:
Metal Skin
Standard: Eddie’s skin is still fresh and new, meaning it is not yet fully effective in preventing damage. Bullets will generally wound and not kill him. His strength is already impressive enough, having enough to lift a car and throw with some difficulty. His arm muscles can punch through walls with a couple of well-aim blows, and a strong enough punch to an un-armoured foe will knock them out with serious injuries. He has extremely limited control over the shape and form the metal makes but his fresh underneath will remain the same. It takes a full minute for the skin to cover his body. (Default unlocked)
Superior: The metal alloys are becoming more and more bonded with his skin and thus more impressive abilities are becoming assessable to him, including an increase in strength. With some difficulty he can pick up large vehicles like tankers, trucks and tanks and hurl them some fifteen feet. In just twenty seconds the alloys cover his body. (22 Exp)
Supreme: The Cyber-Man is now a strong warrior, with strength in his muscles which allows him to compete with the more powerful heroes of New York. But the true chance since his earliest battles is the way the metal has become almost a second skin, changing from fresh to steel in five seconds flat. Eddie is capable of altering the metal content round his arms and legs to concentrate more power into a particular point for a few seconds. Guns are now almost completely useless against him, and even Rocket Launchers or Laser Rifles have limited effects. Best of all, his leg muscles can propel him into the air, much like Hulk does, though no where near as powerful. (36 Exp)
Electro Power
Standard: Pretty basic (yet deadly) at the moment, Eddie only able to administer dangerous levels of electric power into a person if he is touching their body, though it doesn’t have to be his hands. Beyond this he can only deliver sparks of power from his hands, which can be viable in their levels of voltage. He’s certainly not a patch on Electro yet. (Default unlocked)
Superior: With his metal growing stronger and practice Eddie has managed to increase his skills. Capable of a significantly effect on several people the Cyber-Man can now fire a pure ball of electric power or a wider wave which can hit many targets. His touching move also increases in power to a significant danger level. (22 Exp)
Supreme: With full mastery of this power Eddie is a deadly and powerful opponent for the majority of Super Heroes. He can now decide the shape and form of his attacks to a limited extent. Sustaining damage from his touch attack for anything more than two minutes is almost certainly fatal. Most dangerous of all however is his ultimate attack - by concentrating the energy of the nano-bots to his torso for five minutes Eddie ‘explodes’ a wave of pure electricity over a quarter-mile radius, doing significant damage to anything still in the area. After this attack Eddie can feel drained for about ten minutes as the Nano-Bots work to regain their power levels. (36 Exp)
Strengths: Significantly strong due to metal muscles, electro attacks can cause widespread damage to unprotected characters, knows how to utilise the environment to his advantage, constantly recharging electricity due to Nano-Bots.
Weaknesses: Can over or underestimate himself and his foes, pretty ineffective against flying enemies, can be ‘short-circuited’ if he uses too much electric power in a particular way and knocked out as a result.
Creation by the Force: In the mists of the eternal bright, white light stands the ball of fire, of the Phoenix Force. It stands out in the White Hot Room as its immense flames seem to be diligently working. It seems by itself until, it finally stops and the flames settle. Its newest creation held in its arms.“Who the heck are you, doll?”
The Phoenix Force isn’t sure what to say to that, but it is its creation, so it did make him speak like that.
“Ah, a true man of steel. Many times you will fall afoul of others, blinded by your ambitions and desires, yet despite your cold exterior you shall have a heart of gold. Or Fool’s Gold, at any rate. You fight for yourself, keen to know what you are capable of at any cost, to any given ocean. But your greatest gifts will be perhaps nearest to you.”
“What kind of weird-assed logic was that all about?”
“Erm… Yes, well. See you later, Eddie!”
“Wait a second! Who the heck are-“
It lets it fall to earth as the force watches its new creation go to the ground. The flames dwindle down to almost nothing and reveal the shape of a handsome guy dressed for the Big Apple’s local boy job. He mutters to himself about seeing one of em crazy head-doctors as the Phoenix Force vanishes into the ether.
